Power Capacitor
Power capacitors are connected in parallel to loads to ensure efficient consumption of electricity. They are used to improve the power factor and regulate voltage. They are installed at substations and factories, etc. to help achieve stable supply of electricity and reduce electricity fees, etc. Power capacitors are essential for substation equipment.
Features
In 1931, we became the first company in the world to develop and commercialize “OF type power capacitors” that had a completely enclosed structure and contained insulating oil. Since then, we have continued to offer highly reliable power capacitor equipment as the top manufacturer. The current “OF type high voltage phase advanced power capacitors” are low loss all-film power capacitors that have been improved based on our extensive experience.
We were also the first in Japan to commercialize “unit type capacitor equipment” that integrated power capacitors, series reactors, and discharge coils as a system. Subsequently, we commercialized “unit type capacitor equipment (with vacuum contactor)” that incorporated switches and packaged all the functions needed by customers.
