Nissin Electric (Thailand) Announces Strategic Capital Investment for Strengthening Its Global Production Base —Offering advanced technology and stable supply to accelerate customers’ business growth—
Nissin Electric (Thailand) Co., Ltd., one of the group companies of Nissin Electric Co., Ltd. that performs contract production of equipment and parts, has been systematically investing in equipment, building production systems, and passing on manufacturing technologies to the next generation since 2022 in order to address the issues of capacity shortages and provision of human resources faced by Japan’s manufacturing industry. The company has now significantly strengthened its production capacity. Having established a framework that can quickly provide high-quality products requiring a high degree of difficulty and meeting a wide range of requirements, the company is now capable of further supporting its customers’ business growth.

- Pallet changer-equipped five-sided machining center and five-axis machining center: 1 unit each
The recently introduced, pallet changer-equipped five-sided machining center performs machining from five directions by simply setting a workpiece once. The aim of introducing this machine is to respond to increasing inquiries from equipment manufacturers concerning highly difficult, high-precision large components. This machining center achieves high machining precision and doubles production capacity compared to previous levels. Furthermore, the company is also introducing a five-axis machining center, allowing it to flexibly respond to the diverse needs of its customers. - Bending machine with automatic tool changer: 2 units
By introducing the only high-precision bending machines with an automatic tool changer currently available in Thailand, the company has increased its production capacity by approximately 1.3 times compared with previous levels, enabling stable, high-precision mass production. In addition, these machines consume about 90% less hydraulic oil than conventional servo-hydraulic hybrid systems. Their start-stop function also significantly reduces power consumption during standby, thereby cutting CO2 emissions and lowering the environmental footprint. - Fiber-laser cutting machine: 2 units
The introduction of the latest fiber-laser cutting machines, which are capable of high-precision, high-speed cutting, has led to precision machining of sheet metal working parts. This machine has a cutting speed three times or more faster than conventional machines and cuts sheet metal working materials, pipes, and structural steel with just one machine. Furthermore, its high-precision cutting allows parts to be fitted and secured together precisely, eliminating the need for securing tools (welding positioning jigs) during welding. The result is reduced jig design and fabrication work, reduced space required for jig storage, improved accuracy of welding dimensions, and shortened work time. - 3D resin printer and inkjet printer for metal products: 1 unit each
The company has introduced a new 3D resin printer to quickly respond to equipment and parts contract manufacturing requests from around the world. The printers allow us to respond flexibly and quickly to needs for inspection jigs and product development and prototyping. In addition, the introduction of an inkjet printer for metal products allows for high-resolution printing on the surface of metal products, enabling same-day printing without the need for a master plate.
Furthermore, the company is promoting the digital transformation to provide more value to its customers with better quality, cost, and delivery. More specifically, it has introduced CADDi Drawer,*1 an AI-based manufacturing data utilization software that can structure, link, and utilize all data, including drawings, and Teachme Biz,*2 which enables the creation and sharing of concise manuals using photos and videos on the cloud, in order to speed up operations and stabilize quality.
Nissin Electric (Thailand) is also expanding its business into the field of nuclear fusion power generation—the next-generation energy field—and the field of space. These fields require extremely high precision and reliability, so the company is making strategic investments in high-value-added equipment and is implementing measures, taking advantage of the technological capabilities it has cultivated over the years. Going forward, Nissin Electric (Thailand) will continue to strengthen its facilities and production systems, aiming to become a partner that can contribute to the business growth of its customers from a manufacturing aspect. The company will also combine its advanced technological capabilities to further expand its business as a core manufacturing base in Thailand and the ASEAN region.
This is a business activity that contributes to one of the six growth strategies in the Nissin Electric Group Medium-to-Long-Term Business Plan VISION2025, “Adoption of DX to products and business” and “Identifying demand resulting from increasing environmental awareness in emerging countries”, and one of the business foundation strengthening items “Enhancing manufacturing capabilities” and “Improving productivity”.
The Nissin Electric Group has been stepping up its efforts to promote the SDGs through its business operations. This accomplishment is related to the following goals among the 17 SDGs.
8.Decent Work and Economic Growth
12.Responsible Consumption and Production
