Power Capacitor / Series Reactor / AC Filter

Power capacitors are connected in parallel to loads to ensure efficient consumption of electricity. They are used to improve the power factor and regulate voltage. They are installed at substations and factories, etc. to help achieve stable supply of electricity and reduce electricity fees, etc. Power capacitors are essential for substation equipment.
Series reactors are connected in series to power capacitors. They suppress harmonics in the power grid and prevent problems caused by unusual events such as transient overcurrent and overvoltage that are generated by opening and closing of power capacitors.
AC filters refer to devices that absorb harmonic currents, which are generated when converting alternating current to direct current to connect systems of different frequency bands, by combining power capacitors and reactors. They are used in various markets, including renewable energy power plants and railways.

1. High reliability ensured by OF-type power capacitors

We became the first company in Japan to develop and commercialize OF-type power capacitors, which contain insulating oil, with a completely sealed structure. We constantly offer highly reliable capacitor equipment as a leading manufacturer. Our current OF-type phase advanced power capacitors are low-loss all-film power capacitors that have been improved based on our deep experience.

2. Space-saving and eco-friendly

We commercialized the Univar, which integrates a series reactor and a discharge coil as a system, by using tank-type capacitors, which are our original products. Subsequently, we commercialized the Super Univar, which integrates all the functions needed by customers by incorporating a switch in the Univar, contributing to reducing the consumption of materials required for devices and foundation construction and helping cut CO2 emissions during manufacturing.

3. An outstanding track record

In addition to a track record in delivery to electric utilities in many countries, we have also delivered various harmonic solutions to plants, factories, and railways and power system stabilization solutions to renewable energy power stations, based on our hardware technology and power system analysis engineering.
